Meetup | Midlands Natural Hair Meetup 2012

I was invited to go and present on "Transitioning" at this event and I was honoured to be a part of such a wonderful meetup! It was held at the Custard Factory in Birmingham. Myself and Sister E, from the Calabash Hub, decided to catch the train down together. On arrival at Birmingham New Street, imagine our joy at seeing the lovely Rachelle and Charlene, from the Goody Box UK!

Off we wondered, on foot, to the venue. At one point, we couldn't seem to find an entrance but we soldiered on and we were there!
It was a lovely meetup featuring:
  • Poetry readings
  • Presentations on nutrition and transitioning
  • Headwrapping demo
  • Hairstyling demo: for women on the go!
  • Serenade by songstress, Justene; and
  • GIVEAWAYS.
We chatted, we laughed and some of us WON in the giveaways. We also got beautiful goodie bags with Keracare and ORS product samples!

Overall, colour me impressed! Well organised and a lovely atmosphere.
If ever I need an excuse to go down to Birmingham, this would be it!

Hey Lola!
Loving the pics - when did You take that sneaky one of me??!

I really enjoyed Your presentation on Transitioning, in particular Your deep and leave-in conditioning treatments. Over the next few weeks I'll be trying them out!
Oh and Thank You for that little bit of advice You shared with me about water spritzes; I shall keep it simple from now on!

To my personal experience i would like to suggest hair extension clip ins for hairs. These are perfect for adding color you always wanted but never had the courage to do! The "pressure clips" have been specially designed for the process of inserting and applying is quick and painless.

I have read it somewhere that the blood circulation is greatly improved and this helps even out color tone and tightens the pores.
