Crochet braids are back in business!

Update | Crochet braids are back!

PictureRocking it!
This is my current protective style.
I plan to keep this in for the next 3-4 weeks.
One week down, three to go!

Why is this a great protective style?
  1. My hair is hidden in cornrows (with extensions underneath).
  2. I can access my scalp and roots easily (more so than weaved hair).
  3. I can co-wash once a week (tonight) and deep condition as I choose.
  4. I can flaunt these tresses like a natural head of hair, doing faux-puffs and fros!

@Ashley and Lydia:
I used FreeTress Waterwave bulk hair. In colours 1 and 1b/33! Here's a link to the youtube how-to install video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ncpRD0Qap7g

Sorry for taking so long, couldn't find which blog post for a bit...silly me!

Hope this helps!

Yes you can, hon! I would say to wait until 2 weeks into the style before deep conditioning. It just requires trimming the ends of the hair if it tangles a bit as it dries.
Even with thin hair, you can do crochet braids. I always do these with extension hair added to the braids at the braid to keep it sturdier and a bit more protected.
Hope that helped!
God bless!
