I feel moved to share this word with you, which I first heard years ago (in 2011) and wrote down: by Pastor Caesar Fajardo (visiting from Colombia). I pray this blesses you like it has myself.

A story is told of a student who felt rejected by one and all. He asked his teacher for help. His teacher was busy and had his 'own problems'.  The student begged for help.
The teacher sent the student to the marketplace with a ring to sell. Asking price, "one piece  of gold".

He set off early the next morning and all morning he went from vendor to vendor. Every vendor liked the ring but would not pay the one piece of gold for it. In the market, the one piece of gold was very dear!

He returned to his teacher. The teacher sent him to a Jeweler.
"Ask how much they will give you for the ring. No matter the price, do not sell it."

At the Jeweler's shop, he asked. The Jeweler offered fifty (50) pieces of gold!
"What?" exclaimed the student. "Nobody would give me one piece of gold at the market!"
The Jeweler told him that he would even pay him fifty-seven (57) pieces of gold and could still sell it for seventy (70) pieces of gold.

The student relayed this to his teacher. The Teacher now explained,
"The market vendors did not value it, but when you took it to its maker, he knew its true worth!"

The Lessons here:
  1. In our lives, we have other people labeling us, or putting a value on us. It starts with our parents, then our friends and teachers.
  2. We cannot value and love others if we believe less of ourselves by accepting these things.
  3.  We have to change marketplaces and go back to the Creator. He knows our potential and talents.
  4. We are created in God's image. We know that God is love and God is wise. Therefore, we can love and we can get God's wisdom.
We finish with the Word from Philipians 4:13.
"I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. "
