OK, I was just minding my business, checking some Long Haircare Forum after a 2 week hiatus when I stumbled across a thread called: "What the Hayle?!" Needless to say, my attention was piqued.

Little did I know what fun I had in store. I clicked on a  few links and soon I was watching what must have been a good natural hair comedy.....right? Right?

Wrong!

This foolishness was for real! Apparently "hairstylists" giving expert advice on natural hair and styling.
TypeF: a youtube channel that I had no idea about - part of a Tyra Banks Initiative to help out with make-up, fashion and beauty advice - was the platform for these wretched videos.

Advice such as:
"How to put down an Afro" and "How to tame unruly Curly Hair", which involve using a paddle brush on un-moisturized, dry natural hair and putting a curling iron on hair for 60 seconds, respectively.

Did I mention the hair the heat was being applied to is a wig (and like the Great Wall of China, can also be seen from space!). Oh and phrases like, "the essential tool for this style are YOUR HANDS" are just, well, foolish!

Thankfully, a lot of these, well offensive and mis-informed videos have been taken down.
