So, have you met a Natural Hair Nazi? (Or are you a budding one?)

Here are a couple of videos from the preceeding week. I learned that I can't quite manage my loose hair very well yet - lol! First the hair frizzed up and shrunk. Then the puff I made still produced A LOT of knots! Not to worry, I will be experimenting with aloe vera based sprays well before Summer so I can rock my fro, braid-outs and twist outs! Enjoy! Now for a review of the conditioner in the Curly Kinky range! YouTube Times | More videos from Lolascrib Just a few videos to catch you up on. Enjoy! Newly Natural | 3 Months Post- length check + Twist out Finally playing in my hair! For this twist out, I used Shea Moisture's Restorative Conditioner and coconut oil to set it and took down with a shea butter mix I made a while ago
(coconut oil and olive oil in it). Click below for more pictures and to watch the videos. Enjoy! Big Chop Time | You've waited long enough! Youtube | It's just hair... or is it? I was inspired by Toyaboo to do video response on this topic. What do you think of this debate? Is it really JUST hair? Newly Natural | More TWA Styling! Here are some more hair styling videos! Youtube Times | Length Check Time! So it's the start of the year and I love me some length check videos! Included in this is my January Length Check! Enjoy! _New Naturals | TWAs (Teeny Weeny Afros) and Styling Let me be the first to say, "Teeny Weeny Afros are not for everybody!" Seriously, it's not about head shape or vanity, it's about preference. Just like going natural is not everybody's cup of tea (how English of me!). That being said, if you have one, and you are happy with the big chop, rock it like you mean it! You can pik (fluff) it out with a comb. You can finger twirl it to make coils. You can put a head band on to make it look cute! It can look pretty, feminine and fierce. Now onto styling: There is a lot you can do. I know I've found some videos where you can do twist or braids and do updos with them. As your hair grows out, you can master a style and take it to the next level! Flat twists and two strand twists are a great place to start! Here are a couple of vids showing some cute styles! Enjoy! Youtube Faves | Found some new ones! Hold on to your sides! So I had some more channel discoveries on the Tube (not the London Underground. Although..... focus). Here are a selection! Hold your sides for a couple of them (and don't try to drink anything next to that computer...unless you can buy a new, dry one!). Enjoy! NaturallyCandi: I have been following her Tumblr unwittingly and I found I liked her hair pics! Then I stumbled across her Youtube channel yesterday and was hooked! lol! Enjoy! iKnowlee: I found this because one of her twisted updos caught my eye! I am planning on experimenting more with updos on two-strand twists using my own hair! Watch this space for styling vids! fouseytube:
Seriously, I have tears in my eyes re-watching this video! So funny! enjoy!..... |
