Lush | Winter Launch Event!

Press pass! Looking all LUSH!

I'm going to be brief as it is late and work beacons tomorrow!

I was invited to the launch of Lush's Winter Product line and boy were they awesome...as always! 

I'll be honest, I've been interested in Lush from the first time I walked past their shops as a teen in Cambridge Town centre (oh so many moons ago)! I can remember being amazed by the products but being afraid of the "natural" branding. And of course, having no cash - poor teenie-bopper me!

Well, you can call me converted as they have been nothing short of surprising and welcoming in the last couple of years! I like the personalised feel to their products (a cartoon of the person who mixed it on the side or bottom of the packaging) and their friendly staff! I always think of them as how customer service should be everywhere. 

Okay, enough random chat what happened on the night. The event was held at their new flagship store on Oxford street (Tottenham Court road side of Oxford Circus)! It's been open since March 2015!

Well, we were invited to arrive around 6pm for an event to last till 9pm. As usual, yours truly showed up around 7pm (work, who needs it, hey?) and furtively approached the stairs. On stating my quest (Press/Blogger's event), I was ushered upstairs to find so many other bloggers and press-folk being given special baskets, a map and a press pass - check me out! The aim of the evening was to show us their new winter range and spoil us into the bargain. Yes, please!

After imbibing a spot of fruit punch (non-alcoholic, dearies), I had a brief chat with one of their buyers about their sources for Shea butter (Ghana), Coconut oil (Indonesia) and Cocoa Butter (Ghana? I think!). Then I headed downstairs to see Aladdin's cave to learn about the conventional and unconventional Christmas gift ranges of bath bombs and facial washes (and a beard wash for the gentlemen!). I then briefly went into the Lush Spa area for a quick tour. More on that later!

Next, I went upstairs to the ground floor to find out about the Hair products - am I not Lola of LolasCurls? - and their shower jellies! OMG the Santa's belly and the Snowman are so wobbly! Tempted, I was! 
I grabbed a few hair products (Retread hair conditioner, Blousey banana shampoo, Kinky hot oil treatment and Dirty Styling cream) and a shower cream (The Comforter) on my way up! 

My mane-girl, NaturallyZeze was in force and we had another traipse down to the spa where we got a proper tour and Zeze got a hand massage with a chocolate scrub and a rose-argan oil balm! So relaxing! Like being in a countryside resort! PS: I  want to book a session for next time I head to Bath or other Countryside getaways....wonder if there's a Lush Spa in Cornwall? lol! 

We then got to eat a Brownie each and got out HUGE goodie-bags on our way out! (Details of this in another post -I'm all tuckered out!).
