Natural Neighbours | Naturals all around you! Maybe it's just me but ever since I started leaning to towards transitioning (January 2010) I have been noticing more natural heads all around me. I have also been bumping into alot more natural ladies. One thing I love about it is that most of them (not all) are trying to get their hair healthier. This is great for me because that's were I was at the beginning of my journey in July 2008. I find that whether I am in church, at work or on the out shopping (or browsing as the case may be), I bump into more naturals and we revel in each other's hair! In church, for example, I attended a sign language course from last July to December and most of the ladies were natural or transitioning. Through the weekly stroll through the bookshop next to the church, I met another lovely natural who was cutting off her damaged ends and going for gold: healthier, longer hair. These interactions keep me motivated and inspired. Furthermore, I want more of this. Afterall, one thing we benefit from is sharing our knowledge, tips and products...lol (you knew there was a bottom-line, right!). This has got me thinking......maybe we should start having natural get togethers more in the UK. It would be a great way to travel the country and to inspire and encourage one another. Survey time!
