On a Budget | Co-washing

Easy on the spending!
Alright ladies and gents!
Co-washing sounds simple enough: wet hair, apply conditioner, massage scalp and rinse. Repeat once more.
However, many ladies tend to do this on a very regular basis....everyday or every other day!Another thing some ladies do is use different conditioners for the first and second (maybe even third) rinse!

As you can guess, this can become VERY expensive!

My simple advice is this: save money by using cheap conditioners that work for your hair.
How do you know they work?
  1. Read the ingredients: Find out the ingredients you love and buy cheap conditioners with them. Mine include: Water, Stearyl Alcohol, Cetyl Alcohol, Stearamidopropyl Dimethylamine, Glycerin and coconut oil.
  2. Buy the sample size first: this can give you 2 uses and you can decide whether you still want to invest in a bigger bottle. At Asda, for example, I can get 4 sample sizes for £3!
  3. Add oils to your conditioner: this gives it more slip and makes them go for longer.
  4. Try to avoid the conditioner aisle in supermarkets: especially if you find yourself gravitating towards them naturally!
  5. Only have 3 conditioners maximum for spares: you can only use one at a time anyway.
  6. Only use one conditioner at a time: using more is just wastage. The first rinse usually gets the dirt off, the second makes the hair soft! You also use less conditioner with the second rinse.
Hope this was helpful!
