Recipe of the week | Flapjacks!This recipe was given to me by a dear friend so I will simple call them: Mrs. M's Flapjack Recipe: Gluten-free and yummy! This is a simple and tasty treat for the whole family. Ingredients:
100g Unsalted Butter 3 tablespoons of Golden Syrup 100g Light Brown Sugar 200g of Rolled Porridge Oats 25g Seeds mix 25g Nuts (of your choice, I use chopped walnuts) Optional: 1 tablespoon of Matcha Tea Health Mix (for antioxidant goodness) Method: 1) Pre-heat oven to 160oC /140oC Fan/ Gas Mark 3. Grease a square cake tin (30 x23cm or 12 x 9in). 2) Melt the butter in a large pan with the sugar and syrup. Stir in the oats, seeds and nuts. 3) Mix well and turn this into the prepared tin. Press flat with a palette knife or the back of a spoon. 4) Bake for 14-16 minutes or until pale golden brown. Remove from the oven and leave to cool for 10 minutes. Mark into ~24 squares and leave to finish cooling in the tin.
